Torch Passing Broadhembury - 18th July Olympic Ceremony - 27th July -> 12th August
Much of the festive atmosphere at Broadhembury, whether from the Olympic Games, World Cup football, or Royal events, comes from our visitors themselves, rather than from anything we arrange. On our lovely park it is easy for us to set the scene, providing convivial surroundings in an ideal location - our visitors do the rest!
Here at Broadhembury, we truly believe that we can offer our visitors the best of both worlds: a peaceful environment convenient for London for The Games enthusiasts, and also a relaxing ‘away from it all’ experience for those with no sporting interest who just want to enjoy the beautiful Kentish countryside.
Only 35 Minutes by Fast Train!
You don’t need to stay near London to enjoy the 2012 Olympic Games. Broadhembury is a lovely location from which to enjoy the Olympic Games. Set in the heart of the Kentish Countryside, yet only 35 minutes by fast train to The Olympic Arena. It will take you 10 minutes by car from Broadhembury to the train station. There is also a regular bus from the end of our lane (1.5K) to the station, this takes approx 20 minutes.
A large screen TV showing Olympic events will be available in the TV lounge located in our games room. We welcome people of many nationalities each summer, and we imagine that this facility will give various nations the opportunity to meet in a festive atmosphere to celebrate (or commiserate) their own countries fortunes after each event.
We hope to welcome you to Broadhembury in 2012 "The Year of The British Olympics".
Breaking News...

Olympic torch comes close to Broadhembury Camping Park! It will be carried along at the end of our lane as it beams through Kent...
Kent is to have its moment of Olympic glory as the iconic torch passes through its towns before the games. In fact, the flame will spend longer in the county than any other in the UK.
It will pass through 37 towns and villages in Kent, arriving on July 17 and leaving around four days later.
People will be able to line the route to cheer as it makes its way to London in time for the opening ceremony just over a week later.
There will also be two evening celebration stops in Dover (July 18) and Maidstone (July 19) as well as lunchtime stops at two Kent locations, eight photo stops and two breakfast stops.
Wednesday July 18: Hamstreet -> Ashford -> Hythe -> Sandgate -> Folkestone -> Dover
Further details on these locations will be announced later.
See the offical website of the 2012 olympics for further details.
